I found this piece of driftwood on Agate Beach, California and it was destined to be made into a wand.
The 60mm sphere is made from petrified wood. Moss, obsidian points and a mini quartz geode are nestled with it, and twine is woven around them all.
Foraged items include feathers and pinecones. The hand hold on the shaft has been laced with black leather.
I made this with renaissance fairs in mind, but it would be a gorgeous addition to an altar too!
